CHANIA
With 50,000 inhabitants Chania is the
second largest town in Crete. Much of the city's architecture, especially
areas around the harbor, are from the Venetian and Turkish periods.
Easy access to the rest of Crete and Greece provided through its
harbor and airport. Chania is the starting point for many island
cruises, tours and excursions to archeological sites as well as
the Gorge of Samaria, an award-winning national park.
